I worked with Design Director and other members of the team to re-theme/brand an existing Drupal 8 website for xynteo.com. This was an all round role and required me to:
- Set up working website on new Pantheon based architecture with support for Dev, Staging and Production environments
- Set up repos and branches to manage changes on Bitbucket and enable changes to be pulled though onto Pantheon
- Set up local environments with existing codebase to enable local development
Once set up I was able to start implementing numerous design changes. This required me to:
- Work with the Paragraphs module to update existing and implement new design components. This included making necessary twig template overrides etc.
- Work with CSS and JavaScript at a theme level. This also included implementing and refining the sites navigation, fonts, typographical style and rhythm, as well as a site/section colour scheme.
- Implement bespoke module development to enable configuration and content management for certain homepage components
- Ensured that site designs were implemented in a responsive way that worked consistently across browsers.
- Audited site for GDPR and EU Cookie Compliance and implemented solution to ensure compliance. This included disabling the use of third-party cookies on the site unless a user has given their consent.
- Tested changes cross browser and where necessary made adjustments.
